Manual therapy of the jaw joint

Manuelle Therapie Kiefergelenk CMD

T he temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is an extremely sensitive and at the same time important part of our body, which is mechanically dependent on the position and mobility of the cervical spine.

A significant part of the German population suffers from what is known as craniomandibular dysfunction (CMD).

The causes of jaw joint problems are very diverse, with not only physical factors such as poor posture playing a role, but also psychological triggers such as emotional stress.

Prerequisite for a qualified treatment is a precise diagnosis at the beginning of the therapy, including the whole body.

Some of our therapists have specialized in treating the jaw joint. Our cooperation with dentists, orthodontists, oral surgeons and ENT specialists is of great importance.
